In March 2025, a small group of students got together to discuss how to defend our community against an all-out assault from the federal government.

Since spring, we have mobilized hundreds of students for rallies, open letters, op-eds, and conducted hundreds of media interviews to highlight the human impact of the Trump administration’s policies on students - at Harvard and beyond.

We want to unite students from all walks of life who oppose the federal government’s overreach on free speech, life-saving medical research funding, and the American way of life.

Ultimately, we seek to encourage Harvard, other universities, and – ultimately – the entire country to stand up for basic freedoms.

One in five students at Harvard are the first in their families to attend college. Many of us come from low-income backgrounds. Attacks on higher education threaten to destroy the golden ticket to the American dream that colleges around the country, including Harvard, provide.
